James Haug Named to 2026 Super Lawyers List
Haug Barron Law Group is proud to announce that James Haug, our founding partner, has been selected to the 2026 Super Lawyers list. This is his third consecutive year receiving the honor.
Super Lawyers honors fewer than 5% of attorneys in Georgia each year. Selections are based on a multi-phase process that includes peer nominations from attorneys across the state, independent research, and evaluation by a panel of senior practitioners.
The Work Behind the Recognition
James was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star every year from 2017 through 2023, a recognition limited to no more than 2.5% of attorneys in each state. He moved up to the main Super Lawyers list in 2024 and has held the distinction every year since.
His practice centers on auto accidents, catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, trucking collisions, and wrongful death. Within his first three years as an attorney, James tried a medical malpractice case to a verdict over $1 million. His results since then include a $30 million verdict that ranks among the ten largest medical malpractice cases in Georgia history, a $5 million trucking settlement in Gwinnett County, a $2 million premises liability settlement, and a $1.06 million medical malpractice verdict.
Beyond his courtroom record, James holds the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating, the highest peer-rated mark for legal ability and ethical standards. He is an active member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, Million Dollar Trial Lawyers, the American Association for Justice Trucking Litigation Group, and the Georgia Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
